Climate |
On average Irelands east coast tends to be sunnier and have less rainfall than the Atlantic exposed west. There are significant differences in temperature between coastal and inland areas. Inland areas tend to be warmer in summer, and colder in winter.
The weather in Dublin tends to be highly changeable so it is best to be prepared for wind and rain when heading out in to it, even on what seems on first impressions to be a sunny day. Similarly don’t be put off if the weather doesn’t look good first thing it can and often does change within an hour Average temperatures in Dublin vary from 2°C (min) to 8°C (max) in January, and 15°C (min) to 19°C (max) in July
